Playing ball with our team will allow your family and friends to come relax and watch you play, as you work with your assigned buddy on the ball field and have a great friendly game of Baseball.

With the support of Jays Care Foundation, Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program designed to empower children, youth and adults, living with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. The program teaches children and youth the core life skills inherent to baseball, including: teamwork, communication, determination, resiliency, inclusion, support and courage.

The Port Hope Challengers plan to start the first season in Northumberland county in Spring 2021. June 6, 2021 is the first date of the season for players to meet coaches on the diamond. Payment for the season is due that date, more details on play times to come as there maybe restrictions in place due to COVID that will be communicated.

The Challenger Baseball program is a non-profit organization open to all special-needs children and young adults, allowing them to play baseball with their friends and peers in a non-competitive environment. Our game rules are modified so every player has the chance to hit, field, and proceed around the bases. Our program allows for the players to have fun, while playing sports -- just like their siblings – safely. Buddies are also on the field during the games to provide any help that players need.
